* use the miscellaneous table warning entryVincent Sanders2016-04-253-31/+12
| | | | | | | change all the frontends to provide the warning callback in the miscelaneous table instead of using the warn_user function. Changing all the warn_user callsites still requires completion.

* Prevent cocoa infinite event loop at startupVincent Sanders2016-02-101-2/+4
| | | | | | The PSMTabController framework was calling mouse exited events on its rollover button implementation which caused an inifinite recursion in event forwarding.

* This moves message loading out of netsurf_init into each frontendVincent Sanders2015-06-211-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | The translated message loading is dependant on configuration of resource location in each frontend, additionally they should have the ability to deal with errors in this loading in a implementation specific manner. This also extends the message loading API to be capable of loading from an inline memory buffer instead of from a file.

* Change LOG() macro to be varadicVincent Sanders2015-05-283-8/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | This changes the LOG macro to be varadic removing the need for all callsites to have double bracketing and allows for future improvement on how we use the logging macros. The callsites were changed with coccinelle and the changes checked by hand. Compile tested for several frontends but not all. A formatting annotation has also been added which allows the compiler to check the parameters and types passed to the logging.
* Convert cocoa to use bitmap render APIVincent Sanders2015-04-243-101/+84

* Remove webp image handlingVincent Sanders2015-04-211-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The bitmap and image handling interfaces have changed within NetSurf and the webp image handling has not been fixed up appropriately to cope. After discussion with the other developers it has been decided that the webp support is not worth the necessary development effort to rewrite and maintain. The webp format is not in wide usage and Mozilla, Microsoft and Apple have not adopted it. This means the removal will not adversely impact NetSurf. Resolves:2310

* To avoid namespace conflicts with ncurses add NetSurf key prefix.Witold Filipczyk2015-03-273-41/+41
| | | | Adds a NetSurf key code prefix of NS_ to all key codes.
* Remove url from content thumbnailers APIVincent Sanders2015-03-151-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The content thumbnailers for each frontend were being provided the contents url. This was only ever used to call the urldb thumbnail setting API. This changes it so the single callsite that passed a valid url adds the bitmap to that url itself in desktop_history.c instead of forcing every frontend to require the urldb API. Additionally the old API could pass the url as NULL which was causing asserts where this was not an expected parameter value. Because of this this fixes bug #2286 which was also present in the monkey frontend as both called nsurl_access() on the url without the NULL check and caused an assertion.

* Use browser_window_stop_available()Michael Drake2014-11-211-1/+1
| | | | | Looking at bw->loading_content was bad and wrong in the cases of frames, and object fetches.

* Remove usage of browser private interfacesVincent Sanders2014-11-212-12/+11
| | | | | | | | The cocoa frontend was directly acessing browser internals instead of using the API. In the case of gui.m there was a check for the browser window not being root (browser->parent != NULL) . As gui windows can only ever be associated with the root brower window (i.e. its parent will always be NULL) this was completely redundant.
* Fix cocoa usage of render internalsVincent Sanders2014-11-132-9/+9
|
* make the form select menu API smaller.Vincent Sanders2014-11-131-1/+2
| | | | | | By hiding all but the form selection menu option structure from code outside of render this reduces the API to the absolute minimum to support this feature.
* change url setting api to take an nsurl instead of a text stringVincent Sanders2014-11-021-2/+2

* Change contextual content retrieval to browser features.Vincent Sanders2014-11-021-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Update the API which allows frontends to acquire the page features (images, link urls or form elements) present at the given coordinates within a browser window. By making this an explicit browser_window API and using the browser.h header for the associated data structure with a more appropriate API naming the usage is much more obvious and contained. Additionally the link url is now passed around as a nsurl stopping it being converted from nsurl to text and back again several times.
* Update url setting API to return nserror code instead of calling warn_userVincent Sanders2014-10-291-1/+2

* Clean up saving as PDFVincent Sanders2014-10-261-9/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This removes the global PDF_Password interface that had completely bitrotted and moves it into the standard misc operation table with a sensible defualt implementation. This also cleans up and fixes the gtk frontend implementation of the pdf password callback so it compiles. Finally this moves the implementation to a sensible place alongside the other exporters reducing target makefile complexity futher.
* remove the die API from the core.Vincent Sanders2014-10-262-4/+12
| | | | | | | | The die() API for abnormal termination does not belong within the core of netsurf and instead errors are propogated back to the callers. This is the final part of this change and the API is now only used within some parts of the frontends
